About the company
Danubius Shipping is an independent broker working along one waterway: from the Danube across the Black Sea to the Mediterranean. Its three desks share one market and one team: sale and purchase of river and river-sea vessels, dry-cargo barges and pusher tugs; chartering and transport for bulk, breakbulk and project cargo; and grain and oilseed contracts between Danube and Black Sea origin and Mediterranean buyers. The broker acts for one side per deal, works on standard market forms such as Norwegian Saleform, GENCON, SYNACOMEX, GAFTA and FOSFA, agrees commission in advance and keeps names, prices and counterparties confidential unless instructed otherwise. Its clients are shipowners and operators, barge companies, grain producers, exporters, importers and millers.
Project story
01The request
A broker dealing in barges and river-sea vessels, chartering and grain trading needed a website that would earn the trust of shipowners and traders.
02The obstacle
The previous version, made with a page builder, looked like a template and read like an advert. This audience notices both immediately.
03What was built
The new site was coded from scratch in a plain, professional tone and three languages, with a link preview for every page and Search Console set up on launch day.
04The result
A fast, understated website that speaks the industry’s language.
A good fit for: B2B companies whose clients are experts in their field.
